COVID-19 INFORMATION

YUNTA Latinx Festival prioritizes the health and safety of its attendees. To ensure that our event is safe,  we will be following all the measures and protocols implemented by the Government of Saskatchewan and the Saskatchewan Health Authority.

  • Mandatory Masking Indoor Public Spaces
  • Proof of Vaccination*
  • Negative Covid Test no more than 48 hrs old (ONLY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE PROOF OF VACCINATION)

*(Children under the age of 12 are exempt from the proof of vaccination or negative test requirement

Additionally, we will be serving packed food, sanitize constantly during the event, and will be hosting our event at a reduced capacity.

What is Yunta?

“Yunta” is the first Latinx American Festival in Saskatchewan that wants to commemorate the Latin American Heritage Month in October by celebrating with our community.

About the festival

Being the first of its kind to be celebrated in Saskatchewan, the Yunta festival will stir a sense of belonging and deepen connection among the Latinx community residing in Saskatoon.

Yunta festival will create awareness for the Latinx culture thereby increasing the knowledge and appreciation of cultural diversity in Saskatoon.

Youth of Saskatoon’s Latinx community will take pride in their cultural heritage and are inspired to get involved and create more community-based projects showcasing their culture.
